The production of sheet metal parts begins by using a water jet or laser cutter to create flat blanks from a uniformly thick supply of sheet metal stock. These blanks are then bent into shape using custom tooling and press brakes, forming the final part design.
Common secondary operations for sheet metal parts can include tapped holes, inserts, countersunk holes, welding, etc.
Common sheet metal designs include clips, brackets, and covers, which can be used in a variety of industries, including automotive, lighting, consumer products, appliances, and other industrial applications. PrintForm can supply quantities as low as a single sheet metal part. Part thickness can range between .001” up to .250” thick.
